SUMMER! me and teresa and carol and julia have a house!! in west hyattsville!!!! and jobs!!! okay, so i lied about the jobs, but sara gets to have a job now! yay! okay, well Math world is going well. and my hair is kind greasy. this week it was kind cold on monday and really super cold on tuesday and wonderful and warm on wednesday and yesterday it was super hot and humid and after work around 9:00 we watched clouds have sex, it was amazing, the sky was almost completely dark except for the outlines of two gi-normous clouds which were shooting lightning at each other, and illuminating giant balls on the inside of them, and then they kept shooting lightning till the joined and silently let out a short shower. anyway, it was amazing, the entire thing lasted about an hour in complete silence and stillness. it was very bizarre. and now today it's kinda chilly again. summer is coming!!! does anybody who'll be in dc this summer have any job ideas for me? i just dropped my tesol minor and so will not be doing a tesol internship this summer (not like it would've paid me anyway...). ok, cool things: 1)carol, caroline, and teresa are graduating very soon! 2)meg just embarked on a beautiful business venture selling hot dogs, pop, and beer out of brick house's back yard. really perfect idea, nothing could be more in the spirit of may term, except for maybe drunken sweaty hook-ups. 3)caroline's going to be on a real boat this summer (huh, that kinda makes it sound like she's been on an imaginary boat until now...) so cool, aaaaand, there is a very big possibility that the h.m.s caroline will be docking in chicago which is only 2HOURS AWAY from goshen for the months of september and october. she's totally coming to live with me at damn green, she just doesn't know it yet. 4)teresa ran her first marathon a couple weeks ago and finished within the top 15 women and basically did really really well. carol is doing lots of cool things that she doesn't tell us about, you know, to preserve her mysterious femme vibe. 5)meg is going to be in san francisco next fall. bien cool. 6)i have good plans for next fall, yay me. a good schedule (brit. lit. 1, women's studies, writing creative nonfiction, liberation theologies, voice - all on tuesday/thursday except for one on monday night.) a good house, a good job (i think the laundromat is going to take me back), celeste just told me that she wants me to be the arts page editor in the fall (yay!), and i'm going to be maybe editing a collection of poetry for my senior project as well as organizing a student lit. journal. and caroline might be in chicago!!! soo good! and in the spring i will have an even better schedule, again with no mon/wed/fri classes: creative writing, feature writing, senior seminar, voice, senior project, poetry workshop, and teaching learning concepts (learning how to teach music lessons). and in may term, arts in london!! (i've just realized that i've really have studied what i wanted to study before i came to college: music and voice, languages and culture, literature, writing and a lot of poetry, and sociology/social work. i wanted to study abroad and i will have studied in three different countries by the time i graduate. all of the sudden i'm feeling strangly satisfied. ) ok, this is the longest blog ever. love you guys! cuidanse mucho!
