Dickweed!

What is this about being in chicago in september? that would be too good to be true. you can come live at my house on the weekends!!! better yet, i could come live with you!!!
I hope your tooth is repairing alright and congrats on being almost an aunt and almost done with college!

i think this is from caroline:

HELLO!!  I am here!  Dude, I miss you guys so much.  Things
have been awesome crazy but good for me.  The camping trip
was butt cold (it got down to 14 degrees and condensation
froze inside our tent) but so awesome.  T, I have your
sleeping bag, thanks so much.  Then I had lunch with my
brother and my unborn niece--Ashlynn Brooke Blevins.  She's
coming in may, so watch out!  then back to school.

so much exam madness but wait, excitement all around!  I'm
doing my own thing on the ships now, stupid costume with
stupid bum role, but hot let me tell you.  I chipped my
tooth and I'm being a big baby about.  Head home Friday to
see the dentist to make it better.  I think I cracked in
rugby and then it broke off during dinner.  Anyway, rugby
this weekend kicked crazy butt.  We played the college of
new jersey away and they served us but dude, they had 33
players and kept subbing in fresh legs and we were three
players short.  that was the best rugby I've played in a
long time.  I've even got bruises (which is amazing for me
since the color of my skin never changes).  I spent more
time on the ground than running between plays because I was
a tackling fiend.  To top it all off, the ref came up to me
after the game and commended me on my tackling, which is
usually my weakest skill, and said that he knew if I was
chasing a girl down, he wouldn't have to run very far
because I'd nail the tackle.  Yay me, that's the goodness.
Badnes:  my computer spontaneously comubsted thursday.  I
handed it over to the IT people with a white flag and
said "please make it better".

That's what's up in W'burg.  Crazy much I miss you guys.  T,
if you're bored this weekend, we've got a home game against
Radford and then I'm free.  I know you're probably swamped.
I need to go re-febreeze myself, I can't get the smell of
dead people and fermaldehyde out of my nose (yay monday
night anatomy lab).  I hope the senior show rocked, Kate and
Meg.

I will not be living in D.C. this summer if I can help it.
But I should be spending all of September in Chicago if
things work out. Sara, you'll have to visit.

Graduation is thankfully right around the corner and my
family is all freaking out because I only get five tickets
and I have two families that don't like each other.  I think
I'll send half to tour Colonial Williamsburg and the other
half to Jamestown Settlement.  Ahhh, the colonial life.
Anyway, our commencement speaker is non other than W&M
alumnus Jon Stewart.  Now I know you're all jealous.  Except
for Meg who hangs out with famous movie stars.

Whoa!

everybody's posting!! yay!

happy happy things:
-just had jim strouse come in and talk to our writing poetry class, so sweet and funny and totally inspiring. mennonites from goshen can do big artistic things, in kind of a mighty-mouse way.
-am listening to early david bowie interviews and his lovely lovely british speaking voice, even sexxier than his singing voice, (especially his early singing voice..)
-will get the long awaited loan money tomorrow as well as my first pay check from the laundromat. i might just pass out from actually-having-money-euphoria.
-just found out that i'm allowed to do my own laundry (for free) during my shifts at the laundromat. nice.
-had very quality weekend. very quality
-there's this guy named gary jules, and he did a cover of the tears for fears song mad world and it's quite possibly the prettiest song i've heard in a long long time.

bad news bears:
-what? only four weeks left in the semester? when did this happen? i haven't learned anything yet...
-snowing pissy snow again today, for the third day in a row.
-general lack of inspiration, motivation, other things ending in -tion
-have completely lost the ability to say the phrase "bad news" without tagging on "bears"

i love you all!
i will leave you with a couple choice quotes from our friend, kate schrock:

"That's a quality top A class notch type movie!"

"March: in like the wind, out like the wind."
(i think she was trying to say, in like a lion, out like lamb....)

yes, acid bad!
okay, so julia's roommate was being a real ass-hole last night, enough to make her cry, so they went to there room to talk about it, meanwhile i talked to one of her housemates and watched him put away 7 shots of crappy rum, he explained to me that this job (that movie internship thing that meg has) is the most stressful thing he's ever done, we also reminisced about this giant swing in keezletown, and shared near drowning/fun swimming stories. anyway, ross and julia finally came downstairs, everything resolved (yippee!) and then ross stuck his ass in my face, so a punched him, and he continued to stick his ass in my face, so i continued to punch him, things escalated so that we were rolling around on the linoleum of their very small kitchen for a good 15 minutes or so, all the while the drunken bryn, as far as we could tell, was completely oblivious to the goings on around his ankle and complained that his Beck CD was skipping. it was a very odd scene, 4-5 people in vary small kitchen, 2 of which were wrestling (i was able to hold my own, even though ross had 40 pounds on me, and i had 2 beers in my system) after the whole affair julia shared with me that it was oddly cathartic to watch and thanked me, i smiled and told her i was tired.

it's not a very interesting story, just odd. i'm trying to figure out what it means when two "mennonite" "resolve" something physically, it wasn't really violent, just physical. can resolving something physically be non-violent? shit, i'm late for class...

CAKE IS GOOD!!! that is my substantive post of the day. hmmm i think that maybe we should have a THINGS THAT RULE! post were we talk about stuff that we think is cool and that other people should take a look at. Like movies and books and stuff that we really like.
I think that if there is anyone out there that hasn't seen Rushmore yet, it rules, and they definitly should. It makes you want to make out with Bill Murray.
